Proposal for Passenger Rail Service on the Bay Ridge Branch.
Author: Passfanatic

This is a great proposal to have some sort of passenger rail service running on the Bay Ridge freight line. For those people who live in Bay Ridge who might need to travel to Astoria or vice versa as well as to Bushwick, there would be no need to have to take the subway through Manhattan or even depend on the G train. This route would connect to many subway routes. This would be great for a person who wants to travel from Bushwick to Coney Island as long as if they can be in a position to transfer to a subway.

MTA is more enthused about this than the restoring the 4.5 miles Rockawaay Beach Branch, whose study says would cost $8 billion to put back (because they don't want to do it).
