Author: Mudrock

They will book you on a San Joaquin  bus train to Oakland where the Coast Starlight will be waiting to take you north from Oakland to Points north.

Makes sence. With the low ridership numbers.

Got word from a friend that there will be no more Starlight service from LA-OKJ.

That means Starlights will only be running from Seattle to Oakland.

Today's #14 will be the last Starlight out of LA for the forseeable future.

Side Note - With the Surfliners only going to Goleta, that means there might not be a train in SLO for the next couple months.

Its showing in the computer for Wed Apr 3, LA-SEA.

As  I reported a couple of days ago, it will only operate OAK-SEA  Apr  4-5 and Apr 11-12

Guess my posts are in vain.

As to Surliners beyond Goleta, a bus will meet 777 at Santa Barbara, making all stops to San Jose.  Then layover several hours for the next capitial.

I haven't been following this, but I think you are saying it's just the detaours that have been cancelled and the Starlite will operate normally otherwise?
