DOTX 220 - FRA Inspection Car

Here are a few of my photos of the DOTX 220 inspecting track in Toledo last week. Can someone please give a beaif history on the car? Is this car custom made?

Looks to be derived from one of those Rader/Colorado Railcar DMUs.

Built new in 2007 by Colorado Railcar.  Based on their DMU trailer.
