Canyon City & Royal Gorge positioning runs
Author: highgreengraphics

On May 15, Canyon City & Royal Gorge ran two passenger trains sans tourists and riders from Canon City, CO to Parkdale, located just to the west end of Royal Gorge, to turn and add another open-air car to the train consist to ready the train for the new summer season beginning tomorrow, as well as turn the new CRRX full dome "Grande Vista" which is still being refurbished at the Canon City shop. Photos 1 and 2 are of both trains next to the Arkansas River near Parkdale, photo 3 is of the big train waiting at Parkdale while the F7 turns the two cars behind it on the rock loading loop at Parkdale. Pretty classy train, better ride it. Happy Gorgefanning! === === = === JLH

Whoa!  Is that an SDP45?  If we can't have an F unit, that's a good second choice!
They are good about painting!  Not cheap either!  I hope they can recoup some of that cost this Summer!

I always preferred the Aspen gold over the orange, but still pretty train.
