Passenger Trains > Amtrak 42 - Glenview, IL

Amtrak 8 accelerates out of Glenview road just about 1/2 an hour late with the "Amtrak Salutes our Veterans" locomotive in charge. Lost 30 minutes behind CP 288 who had engine trouble east of La Crosse, WI. This consist will transform overnight into the consist listed below. Sadly just shortly before this photo was taken, a 5 year old boy was run over by a car just down the road and around the corner while trying to cross Waukegan Road. He later succumbed to his injuries. 

As of June 1st: two units, two sleepers, diner, coach baggage, coach, lounge, coach baggage, coach, sleeper. No baggage car anymore.
