Passenger Trains > Sold OutDate: 06/25/20 18:34 Sold Out Author: regalstream1516 Coach seats are sold out on the Texas Eagle from Chicago to Texas points tomorrow, Friday, June 26th. Seats are available from St. Louis south. With only half the seats for sale, and and no dedicated Illinois coach, paying customers are turned away.
Date: 06/25/20 19:12 Re: Sold Out Author: cabsignaldrop That's all part of Amtrak's game to make the long hauls look worse. The Florida trains are running with only 3 coaches, that's 177 seats and only 88 of those seats are being sold. Amtrak refuses to add capacity. Normally, 97/98 run with 5 coaches this time a year. Starting Monday the 6th, 97/98 are going quad weekly and 91/92 going tri weekly.

I sure hope NARP - or ARP - or whatever they are called now is documenting the days of when these trains are sold out so they can report to their membership, Amtrak, and Congress the results to build support accordingly for less or more frequencies, or capacity (depending on how it may all flush out!) etc.
