Unions request nat'l mask policy
Author: Lackawanna484

The association of transportation unions seeks a single national mask rule for passengers and asks the DOT to issue it. DOT Secretary Chao is not inclined to do that.

Rail, air, bus workers are in the association.

National policies are stupid. Some areas need it others don't.

And that, folks, is exactly how we got where we are today!  Places with few cases took few precautions, and people kept traveling from highly infected areas to those less infected areas.  Contrast our approach to countries like Italy and China, that imposed full national lockdowns and travel suspensions.  Today they have far lower rates of infection and life much closer to the norm before the pandemic.

So why would someone who's terminal and 100 is 100% in a low virus state need to wear a mask? That's nuts. And yes we are not an authoritative state even though you want it to be.

That person probably shouldn't be on a plane, train or bus. . .

Then just drive your car and don't take public transportation.
