Passenger Trains > Siemens in Jack London SquareDate: 07/31/20 09:59 Siemens in Jack London Square Author: WP17 That is both Siemens locomotives and cars.
I had been informed that the Siemens passenger test train would be leaving Oakland Jack London Square station early this morning for Fresno. I decided that after 4 months of inactivity to go out and photograph the test train. The first two shots are of the train arriving in Jack London Square from the Amtrak maintenance facility while the third shot is of the train leaving Emeryville WP17 Date: 07/31/20 10:12 Re: Siemens in Jack London Square Author: WP17 Date: 07/31/20 13:31 Re: Siemens in Jack London Square Author: mp51w Air bag suspension? Well, you know, we MUST re-invent the wheel with every new order..... What works in Europe does not generally work so well here in the US of A, but we must nonetheless re-learn this every generation. Fixed-consist passenger trains are the same way. Always sounds great to new comers. Never works well in practice over here. |
