Take a second to bow your head in gratitude for all those who gave their time, shed their blood and gave their lives in the Labor movement. We stand on giant's shoulders.

The union People who stood up to Pinkerton goons in the 1890s, Ford thugs in the 1930s, and people wearing $900 suits today.

The union movement has thrived when members are engaged.

If someone is paying $900 for a suite and if its American-made, there is a pretty good chance that the suit is union-made. 

Converserely, there are plenty people who are hostile towards unions or engage in anti-union activity who spend a lot less money on their work clothes.

Something I just learned tonight is that the first federal law giving workers a right to organize was the Railway Labor Act, passed in 1926.
