Trip Report - Maine to Miami on Amtrak and Brightline
Author: Memma

Hi All
I just got done publishing an article about a trip I took from Brunswick, ME to Miami on the Downeaster, an Acela, the Silver Meteor and Brightline. Unfortunately there is no travel from here still (we're only allowed to go 5km from home, all international borders closed etc.) so it's a report on a trip from pre-COVID, but maybe of interest.

Exploring the east coast - Maine to Miami by train

I hope everyone is staying safe and well!

Enjoyed your trip report immensely - I just came off of the Silver Meteor last night about midnight (delayed by historic rains in the DC area that covered tracks in water and mud), live in the city that once was the Southernmost rail terminus (Key West), and once owned a house in Andover, MA,  whose backyard you rode through on the Downeaster.

One update - the menu options for Flexible Dining have been expanded and improved in the past year - and the system of convection re-heating and service seem to have been standardized and greatly improved.

Very enjoyable travelogue. The best I've read in some time.

That's fantastic to hear - I'm so glad Flex Dining has improved! I can't wait to get back over and try it out!

Thank you all for all the comments - most appreciated!
