Passenger Trains > North American Railway Stations Part 30Date: 09/19/20 03:43 North American Railway Stations Part 30 Author: andersonb109 Next up is New Orleans Union Passenger Terminal. Currently used by Amtrak and intercity buses. A recent addition is street car service to downtown New Orleans that connects with the cities other street car lines. That came in handy when two PV's I was a guest on were stabled there for two nights in 2018.

from NOUPT. Throw in a few steam excursions too! Mardi Gras was the magic time there. One could see so many business cars parked in the station. I wish I had seen the 5 depots that existed before NOUPT was opened in 1954. Date: 09/19/20 11:23 Re: North American Railway Stations Part 30 Author: krm152 Thanks for the streetside photo post. Have never seen a photo from that view.
Also never managed to get to NOUPT during any of my trips to new orleans. Thanks again for the series. ALLEN Date: 09/19/20 20:54 Re: North American Railway Stations Part 30 Author: AndyBrown I've been to/through that station a few times and appreciated its simplicity for a big city station. Go in the front door, large waiting room, ticket counters rear center, and doors to the platforms behind that.
