Passenger Trains > Business / leisure travel trends during COVIDDate: 09/21/20 14:01 Business / leisure travel trends during COVID Author: Dcmcrider There's some interesting trends analysis here.
https://adara.com/traveler-trends-tracker/ From the booking volume chart (below) shows that the leisure family/non-family air travel market has rebounded somewhat, while business travel remains moribund. Prior to the pandemic, the disparity was negligible. The baseline of 100% is pre-COVID (Jan. 2, 2020.) The two leisure categories are posting numbers in the solid 50% range, whereas business is consistently one-half that. It's reasonable to conclude from these data that catering predominantly to a leisure clientele is probably the best way forward in the next 3-9 months. The USA's national rail carrier doesn't appear to agree. Paul Wilson Arlington, VA Edited 2 time(s). Last edit at 09/21/20 14:04 by Dcmcrider.
