Passenger Trains > Fatal train accident in SB last nite?

A freind of mine who lives in Santa Barbara said she saw a story on local TV news to the effect that there had been a "fatal" train wreck/accident there last night. Can't find anything on this. Anyone know anything?

Pedestrian struck and killed yesterday, nearby the train station. That's about all I know.

As os well known lots  of  people  walk  the  tracks in the  area.

Using SB could be a lot of locations in the United States.

Does it take that much longer to type the city name ?

Try adding a A. SBA. yes the airport but close.

Or, as suggested by Mundo, spell it out.

I saw "SB" and immediately thought "South Bend." Even within California it could have been San Bernardino.

I thought 'south bound'; not trying to be flippant, just the first thing that popped into my head.

My first thought was San Bruno.

Santa Barbara was my second choice. 

I suppose some folks might have thought San Bernardino.

Not to mention "train wreck/accident". How about "tresspasser strike"?

14 hit a car near Albany, Oregon, today, killing the driver (who reportedly went around the gates). Happened at the crossing of Hallawell Siding.

        Just like the people that push a grocery cart all over a store but after they unload it at their car, they shove it over behind the car next to them. Too lazy to finish the job by placing it in the cart corral. Apparently can't type the other few letters to finish conveying their message to us either.

The answer is no, to the dwindling folks who still use a full keyboard to post here. Don't forget the effects of the Smartphone infection in our society, where excessive abbreviation is the "new normal." Should be obvious from my wordy posts that I'm still testing negative for SPHN-19.
 

More and more people are using the airport initials to identify Canadian cities. YUL Montreal, YYZ Toronto, YVR Vancouver.
 

And if go to the trouble to click on the link, it says Santa Barbara right in the headline. Maybe SB could mean Stop Bitching.
