Fantastic. A walk down memory lane. And back when the Cardinal and the Crescent were real trains.

Last two cars on Cardinal must be deadheads.  rest of train looked great.  

I think 358 was one of the Fun train Units. If I remember correctly?

Yes it was.

Excellent video.  Man I sure miss the F40s.  Sure loved seeing those consists from Amtrak's finest era.

Would love to have rode in the open rear doorway of that Slumbercoach going to Florida.  I loved Slumbercoaches even when the rear door was shut...  :-)

The Cardinal's consist is interesting:

3 Amfleet II Coaches
1 Amfleet II Cafe/Lounge
1 Heritage Full Service Diner
2 Heritage 10-6 Sleepers 
2 Horizon Coaches - deadheading from Chicago, or from Indy to Chicago

Interestingly, this is right BEFORE the Cardinal went to Superliner II bi-level equipment and it had a FULL Service diner, lounge, AND TWO FULL SLEEPERS! Even when it reverted back to single level consist again around 2002, it wasn't given this type of favorable FULL consist back in  return!
