Passenger Trains > New Metra Wrap and Metra/Amtrak HeritageDate: 11/18/20 18:16 New Metra Wrap and Metra/Amtrak Heritage Author: kevink 1. Metra F40PHM-3 #204 was recently covered with a vinyl advertising wrap for Grubhub. Seen here making a station stop at Westmont on the BNSF Chicago Sub on Veteran's Day 11/11/2020.
2. I haven't much luch catching Metra F40PHM-3 #211 the last few months but I did manage to get it on a westbbound train at Hinsdale, IL on 11/05/2020 3. The newest Metra heritage locomtive, Metra F59PHI #90 has proved elusive for me because I rarely get up to either the UP North or Northwest lines where it seems to hang out. I got some intel that it was parked at the end of the McHenry Branch on Halloween weekend. With spectacular fall weather beckoning, I finished my yard chores and head north. The 91 was basking in the late afternoon sunlight by the McHenry depot. 4. On 10/15/2020 racing through Hinsdale, IL 5. A week later, 10/22/2020, again at Hinsdale, IL 6. The Veteran's locomotive #42 made a trip west on the California Zephyr. Here it is easing out of the shoofly at Highlands in Hinsdale, IL on 10/17/2020 Edited 1 time(s). Last edit at 11/18/20 18:24 by kevink. Bob Date: 11/18/20 19:51 Re: New Metra Wrap and Metra/Amtrak Heritage Author: kevink Thanks Bob. Metra has been selling advertising via wraps for the last couple of years primarily for Jimmy John's and Northwestern Memorial Hospitals. Those locomotives have been assigned to the UP lines. This is the first wrapped F40PHM-3 that I am aware of and the first on the BNSF line.

Rich Date: 11/19/20 08:30 Re: New Metra Wrap and Metra/Amtrak Heritage Author: MNNRfan Really nice shots!!!
Really like the CBQ unit and you can't really go wrong with the green and yellow of the CNW. And for whatever reason I've always liked the "Winnebagos." Date: 11/19/20 11:23 Re: New Metra Wrap and Metra/Amtrak Heritage Author: Lackawanna484 Great series.
Are these locomotives unusually tall, or are the gallery cars lower in height than some others? Posted from Android Date: 11/19/20 12:33 Re: New Metra Wrap and Metra/Amtrak Heritage Author: PHall Lackawanna484 Wrote:
