Passenger Trains > Additional Piedmont round trip to begin December 14

A friend from North Carolina is reporting that a second daily Piedmont round trip between Raleigh and Charlotte will begin, starting Monday, December 14.  Piedmont trains 74 and 75 are showing as being available as far as making reservations in the Amtrak reservation system.  No official announcement yet.  This would restore the second of three Piedmont round-trips that existed before the pandemic.

This will necessitate utilizing two separate sets of North Carolina DOT equipment, plus the state-supported New York-Charlotte Amtrak Carolinian.
