The Miami-Dade county commission has agreed to an access plan which would eventually see commuter trains operating on the BrightLine / Florida East Coast tracks from Miami Central Station northward.  This plan would add commuter stops in densely populated areas of the county including Little Haiti, major destinations like Florida International University and Wynnwood Arts, and reduce the demand for automobile use.

Who will operate the service hasn't been determined, nor has any equipment been selected. Sounds about right, in California the gas tax was supposed to go to the roads, but they stole that money and let the roads go to hell, do they said they needed a raise in the tax.
