Looking Good At 114

The tip of Seattle's 114-year-old King Street Station basks in the afternoon sun today, dwarfed, but not outclassed, by nearby skyscrapers.

For some reason, reminds me of an M.C. Escher work — somewhat visually disturbing, actually, thanks to a heavy telephoto pulling in the skyscrapers in futuristic world against King St Clocktower. Oh well, NOT “Sleepless in Seattle”, Mr Walstib— when are you headed back to SBA for your people pics? Always have enjoyed those!

A station with a triumphal restoration too!

Remember when it had microwave dishes on the top? I'm glad another example of railroad architecture (or rather, an example of Venetian architecture in a railroad application) has been saved.
