Passenger Trains > VA: an update on the Amazon HQ2 project

The Washington Post has an article about the transportation enhancements around the "National Landing" district, the new name for the area which used to be Pentagon - Crystal City - Potomac Yards. Projects underway will add Amtrak, VRE, bus, bicycle, and pedestrian expansions.  Even a walkway to Reagan National Airport, believed to be a first in the US for a major airport.   The organizers and business community want a one seat ride which involves MARC.  The desire to have VRE trains continue into Maryland, and MARC trains continue into Virginia has been discussed for decades.
