SW Chief #3 Delayed in Newton, KS

3 hour delay yesterday causing it to run behind all the way to Los Angeles. Anyone know what the problem was?

I heard (from 2 different sources) it was a "Freight Train" that was disabled in front of it.  I am not 100% sure if that's was the reason was.

UPDATE: Southwest Chief Train 3 that departed Chicago (CHI) on 1/7 continues to be delayed east of Newton (NEW) due to a disabled freight train ahead. We will update once the Train clears the affected area.
