Prior to the pandemic, the High Line had become a busy addition to the growing lower west side.

Judging from the last time I was there a few years ago, the large number of people using the walkway would attest to its popularity.

One of the most successful tourist attractions in New York City -- that has reaped countless additional development cash benefits to private individuals who have set up shop nearby -- is looking to have a direct connection to a facility that millions of folks use every year to enter New York City. Sounds like a good idea to me. Isn't that exactly what "Conservatives" were arguing was a good thing with "3P" Investments? They did a fabulous job with the landscaping, leaving parts of the track to show the heritage, creating spots to sit and people watch, and the connections to the various streets were well done. While I always question the costs, call me skeptical, I do think the initial result has been spectacular.
