Passenger Trains > Good Amtrak Service Report for a Change.

I made an LAX to TWO Amtrak run about two or three years ago--with covid who can remember that far back? I went to pick up an original drumhead and its can off CP Rail'sBudd-built "The Canadian." The roomette R/T was $750+. On the return, apparently a mouse got into my bedding and left his calling car. I called "Julie" and "she" changed my room and issued a compltet refund for the entire R/T--1/2 in cash that I had paid and 1/2 in a voucher. When I got home, I used  funds to buy a roomette LAX-ALB for Winterail 2020. Then Winterail 2020 got canceled for the first time ever in over 40+ years account Covid. So, I re-booked the train  for Winterail 2021. Winterail 2021 has now been canceled account Covid. 2.0! So, again I call ATK and they just as gladly as before refunded the cash and voucher and suggested I wait a month or two before I re-book for Winterail 2022. It was as plain and easy a transaction as any I have had in 50 years of Amtrak travel  Thanks Amtrak for not complicating Covid's. complications!

In my experience, Amtrak customer service people are highly competent.

I've been pleased with my Amtrak service phone conversations.

And said so, here.

My experiece has also been overwhelmingly positive. 

There are some folks here who will NEVER EVER say anything good about Amtrak.
And they have no problem making their views known either.
