Passenger Trains > Coaster Charger Redux

First video is of the "Press Train" which has been operating in regular service with new paint smell wafting in the air.

Last week, North County Transit District  finished up removing a single crossover switch which was located at about where video #1 starts.

Crummy cell phone video #2 was taken a few years ago and shows the switch and associated hardware which has been removed.

Photo is of the area showing the switch removed.

Location is about 1/2 mile before the Miramar Hill downgrade starts.

How do you get go that curve? Do you walk down alongside the main from the wye?

Thanks Mr. Chew! Neat videos of my home zone. I used to ride the San Diegans along this Line with my family, back in the day.
Was wondering=  in Pic Nmber 1 -referring to the concrete base. Was that for an old time block Signal, that used to control there?

Park on Frost-Mar Place @ Miramar Rd, walk down the driveway (SW corner of cul de sac) to Aquarius Marine and Storage (dogs will bark at you but can't get out),
head left and follow wye to the mainline, walk down path next to mainline line for a couple hundred yards. Look out for the creeps living under the bridge where
Miramar Rd. crosses the tracks if you choose to explore and the mountain bikers that never announce their presence before whizzing past you.
