CN to the rescue on 393/390
Author: sethamtrak

Yesterday's 393 became disabled outside Champaign-Urbana and CN came to the rescue by way of a loaned GEVO. Since 393 overnights in Carbondale, 390 would have the loaned GEVO as well. After arrival the 2892 was cut off and run around the wye. Not sure where it is going now. Unsure about what happened to 4601 but you sure can't blame the snow this time around.

2892 is supposed to be on 393 back to Champaign this evening.

Nice shots. I think I have everything needed to model this train, including a grungy weathered CN GEVO.

Pretty sure an episode of this season of Chicago Fire was filmed in the location of picture 3, when the ambulance was shot at, ran off the road and flipped. It aired a few weeks ago.

That GE motor makes the Charger look like a tinker toy!

You are correct. I noticed the bridges up in the background.
