Passenger Trains > Help, pleaseDate: 04/04/21 15:27 Help, please Author: retcsxcfm I have not been on a train in almost two years.Much has changed.
Having the urge to "get away" (sorry Southwest) I had to get out. I have a RT test trip in a sleeper to Raleigh,NC from Lakeland,Fl. Lv.Saturday,April 17,return Monday April 19.Just an up and back. Amtrak sent me a request for meal planning.Menu for NB only. With that said. The train leaves at 6PM.Is food still served at that time? If so,which is best, brasied beef or the pasta? As for breakfast,I would starve. So liitle to eat. The train leaves Raleigh at 9PM.Is food still served then? Are sleeper passengers still get coffee and soda free as before? Is there still a sleeper class lounge in Raleigh? I understand that the new sleepers are being used on this train. Thanks for any help.I plan to do a trip report upon return. Uncle Joe Seffner,Fl. Had it twice, wont have it again. Other items, at least some of them, were pretty good.
