Why is CZ No.6 over 2 hours late from Wimmemucca NV to SLC UT almost
everyday since June 1.?

I noticed this too - I know #4 and #6 are running into heat restriction issues/delays, but it is running in the evening through this section of track from Winnemucca to Salt Lake City......It has been 90 to even nearly 110 degrees here for highs...........Actually #6 comes into Winnemucca at a scheduled 7:06 pm. So is it hitting heat restrictions maybe from Reno to Salt Lake? Not sure, but it is over 90 degrees at nearly 4 pm Pacific Time right now!

Not so bad getting to Salt Lake City at 5:30am rather than 3:30am. Transferring Greyhoud service passengers would like it too.  

heat restrictions do not relate to absolute temperature but to temperature differentials.  If a stretch of track were 100F both day and night, no problem.  But when there is a swing of say, 30 degree from night to day, then there is a problem.

Well that would be a problem, or THE problem!

Anyone know if there is. Tie or rail ganging out there working on the old WP
