Passenger Trains > The Time I Questioned The Wisdom Of Making This VideoDate: 06/23/21 20:22 The Time I Questioned The Wisdom Of Making This Video Author: walstib This is the time of year I look forward to taking advantage of the longer days by catching trains in sunlight not available the rest of the year.
Of course that only works out when Amtrak is running on time -- or, gasp, early -- but that wasn't the case last night when number 8 came through with two private cars. It was 45 minutes late by the time the Empire Builder from Seattle made Leavenworth. So, I worked with the light I had. First clip is the train crossing the Wenatchee River at Dryden. By the time the train made Trinidad it was so dark that even I was questioning the wisdom of trying to make a video. I did it anyway. Take a look at the results.
