FL Auto-Train switching in Sanford
Author: Lackawanna484

Danny Harmon / Distant Signal has an interesting video on the U tube. This one is a detailed study of A-T switching on arrival at Sanford.

How the spotting of the car carriers is organized. The car wash routine. Cut off points.

There's a lot going on in a short period of time.

Just for the RECORD
Auto-Train is a freight train
not a "passenger train."
You cannot ride Auto-Train
unless you are transporting a car,
motorcycle, etc.

It's a question of semantics. Merriam-Webster defines "passenger train" as "a train that people use for traveling". Collins says "a train that carries passengers". On the other hand, Macmillian defines it as "a train that carries only passengers". I think most people would say the AT is a passenger train even if sale of tickets for it has unusual conditions.

Would the term "mixed train" apply here?

Makes sense to me.  Let's see what the "language police" have to say!  :-D
