Passenger Trains > Big Reno Fun Train 1997

SP 8289 leading the eastbound Reno Fun Train thru Weimar CA. 

UP has already figured out that a woefully underpowered TOFC limping along at 20 mph should run ahead of an extra Amtrak train.

The fun train was getting a lot of color since ascending the grade at Rocklin.

And Amtrak  no   longer wants this business.  Course neither does the UP.

I took it about 5 times when I lived in the Sacramento area, It was so much fun. Drinking and lots of partying. What could be better?
