Amtrak's Winter Park Express running on time Sunday, 16 January 2022.  They had 202 passengers on Saturday trip-!   🥳🤗

11:15 AM update - UP's Grand Junction, CO, to North Yard, Denver, CO, manifest had an issue at or near Fraser, CO, with a drawbar.  Time needed to fix the situation.  Amtrak's Winter Park Express power ran around its train at Winter Park Siding.

Wonder how Amtrak's California Zephyrs  will do Sunday.  As of 3:00 PM, Sunday afterrnoon, 16 January 2021 - Amtrak train 5 was reporting 4-hours, 47-minutes LATE at Fraser, CO.

So do half the seats in the Superliner Coaches face one way, and half the other face the other way so the engines can just "run-around" the consist to "change ends?" In previous years there was an F40 cab unit so power didn't have have to do the run-around if I recall correctly? Nice that Amtrak put a Superliner Sightseeer Lounge for the Winter Park train....
