In July 1978, the SP leased some Amtrak P30Cs for their San Francisco-San Jose commuter operation.  Hard to believe it's almost 50 years ago.

1.  704 at 4th & Townsend station,  San Francisco
2.  701 southbound at Bayshore
3.  716/711 meet at Bayshore
