PV Promontory Point on Amtrak Train 5 at Denver
Author: cozephyr

PV Promontory Point was on westbound Amtrak California Zephyr, train 5, running 3-hours late on Union Pacific's Moffat Tunnel Subdivision after leaving Denver, CO, Sunday, 18 September 2022.  The car (ex-Union Pacific 105 business car) normally resides at the Arizona Railroad Museum at Chandler, AZ.  The PV has not been travelling the high iron in recent years.

The car has been based in Chicago since late 2018 or early 2019. Can't remember which but somewhere around that time. Under new ownership in the last several years from my understanding.

Should be named "Promontory Summit" not many trains at "Promontory Point" about 30 miles south of the "Golden Spike."
