Passenger Trains > 2 (19) vs semi in TexasDate: 09/20/22 14:12 2 (19) vs semi in Texas Author: NPRocky Amtrak,s eastbound Sunset Limited, train 2, which left Los Angeles Sunday nighi, is about to leave Missouri CIty, Texas just West of Houston after its lead engine (84) was broadsided by a semi about 3 hours ago. The impact dislodged 84's air tank. Union Pacific sent a mechanical team, which removed the air tank from under the engine and apparently borrowed three engines led by UP 8355 to remove the disabled 84. We just left with our second engine (2) handling the train. Only injury was the semi driver, apparently not seriously.
