Passenger Trains > Harvard IL Metra Parking Question

I plan on taking Metra into Chicago when I take Amtrak 21 to Austin.

Do any of you guys have any experience parking long term there? I will be gone 8 days. I notice that the website says you can park for up to 10 days and that you pay via machine in the lot (exact change only), or with the parking.com app.

Do the machines take dollar bills only? 

Harvard is a 2 hour drive from here, otherewise I would just go there myself and check it out. Many thanks!

You can pay via the park mobile app I think it’s called.
Or if you like you can save some money and use my driveway.
Ive worked for Amtrak as an LSA for 20 years and am less than 5 minutes walk to the Metra station.
