What's happening to the Downeasters?

Today:
Due to severe weather conditions in the area, Downeaster Train 688 and Train 689 are canceled.
Trees?  Snow?
On the 23rd most of the trains had ben canceled due to trees down west of Salmon Falls, NH.

Weather conditions and downed trees. Ten Downeasters were cancelled yesterday.

We have been through it here in the last week.  Tons of heavy wet snow, freezing rain, rain.

Many folks have been without power for days.
