Amtrak 92, Silver Star, arriving Southern Pines NC at 0745 Saturday 1/28/23.  Poor 147 appears to have had contact with something somewhere that damaged the nose and plow enough to be replaced.  Whatever it was, it was dirty or oily or fiery or ???.  Well, at least it's running and the nose and plow look decent again. Small vistories I guess.   Is the amount of water coning out of the new Viewliner Sleeper common?  I've never really notice that volume of water coming out of a car - it's like the old cars before retention toilet systems.

Looks like the front end was completely fixed ... didn't look that bad.

I’ve seen it several times the past few weeks. Each time filthy or semi filthy. This does actually look clean! Wonder how that happened? Used to be the norm. They need to get back to this.

It probably just went through a hard rain. That is the only way that Amtrak trains get 'washed'.
