Hopefully Beech Grove can ramp up and get more "rehabs" complete on Amtrak owned equipment.

How can  CT Rail get Parts for the P40 engines, When Amtrak can't get Parts for Amtrak P42 engines, is Amtrak making new parts at Beech Grove Shops for the P40 engines??

Maybe CNDX?  CDTX belongs to the California Department of Transportation.

This may be the second rebuild of the P40.  I believe it and its sister units were rebuilt when NJ bought them for use on the Atlantic City Gamblers Express trains.

I think some P40's came direct from Amtrak. Four more came from NJT.

Some P40s DID in fact come directly from Amtrak. Then the NJT units...... Amtrak P40s had an interesting life, overall......worked side by side with P42s during the M&E years, then set off to retirement, then brought back from retirement (certain units), with some surplus units sold off or leased to commuter roads.....
