Passenger Trains > #5 (3-12)

I wonder if they are planning on annulling #5 tomorrow. It's #6 equipment is 20 hours late and has not even made it to Denver. #5 does not appear among the list of tomorrow's departing trains on the Chicago departure board.

Train #5 out of Chicago is cancelled tomorrow, Sunday, March 12th.
THUS 
Train #6 out of Emeryville is cancelled Wednesday, March 15th since there's no equipment to do the turnaround.

If the Capitol Ltd had a normal consist, train 29 could have made up train 5, and the 20 hour late train 6 becomes train 30. True ?
If no equipment in Emeryville, they couldn't turn back at Reno ?

Actually this is False.

Not sure if Reno has facilities to service and provision a train like Emeryville.

With #6 now 29 hous late now, not just 20, it could not be made same day 30.

It's been done at Chicago with Capitol Limited train set as a run-through. And Train #5 has turned at Reno to to become an ontime #6. Don't ask me how provisioning EXACTLY gets done, but they've done it when even having to turn the Empire Builder at Whitefish, MT for days......
