Passenger Trains > San Clemente Track ClosureDate: 05/26/23 10:40 San Clemente Track Closure Author: MyfordBrowning It is unfortunate that in the nearly month since the landslide closed passenger service through San Clemente that no provision for safe passenger service with has been made. With the busy Memorial Day traffic expected to cause major congestion on the I-5 between LA and San Diego (affects Amtrak's bus bridge between Irvine and Oceanside) the Pacific Surfliners would have provided a good alternative for many travelers.

Its always busy, always congested. We just call it "traffic". And they just announced the tracks will be open starting tomorrow.
