The first of MARTA's new trains out enjoying fresh air.
Author: Paniolo_man

On Wednesday the first of the new Stadler Metro MARTA trains was out on the test track for the first time at the factory in Salt Lake City.

If anybody knows, will this train be headed to Pueblo for testing, or going straight to MARTA? Also, what route will trains take out of Utah; The Overland or the Rio Grande? I know they are going to be delivered by rail, just not what route or road.

Was thinking the same thing. Are these third rail powered? I knew Stadler had put in an overheard to run the CalTrain units, wonder how complex their test track will end up becoming.
