Passenger Trains > Siemens Equipment at HMW

Saturday 11/16.  Siemens equipment on CN/IC north of Homewood, IL station.  At least two trainsets and Chargers for VIA and a Charger for EXO.  I was not fast enough to get more than a couple of photos.

Interesting.  1400 is a Washington State Charger number.  Obviously that unit isn't going to Washington state.

Also, I wonder why VIA isn't setting up seven-car Venture trainsets now to deal with this latest shunting problem.  I'm also confused on whether the problem applies to the entire Quebec-Windsor corridor or just the Montreal-Ottawa-Toronto portion of it.  From what I read in the latest Passenger Train Journal, five-car sets should be enough for the Montreal-Quebec City part, but VIA will realistically need seven-car sets for Montreal-Ottwawa-Toronto. So why not set them up now?  Even with the surgery needed, I can't believe it would be that hard.  They're going to need them anyway.

If they set up a 7 car set, then there would have to be a 3 car set, or two 4 car sets. What would they do with that  ? Send them to Sarnia ? They don't run to Niagara Falls anymore. 

Who doesn't run to Niagara Falls anymore?

Well since it's doesn't belong to WashDOT it really doesn't matter, does it.
