Passenger Trains > New ACE Cab Cars

ACE has a new cab car, 3310,  in service, seen here on ACE 08? leaving Santa Clara, CA. These were shot with an iPhone and I'll have to figure out if I can get faster shutter speed.

Altamont Commuter Express. Commuter train that runs between Stocton and San Jose in California.

ACE changed its name to Altamont CORRIDOR Express several years ago as it began plans to expand ACE service in the Central Valley, and assumed management of the San Joaquin service to Bakersfield

While I think there's something to be said about the operational flexibility of the old design allowing cab cars to be used in a consist as a regular coach (which UTA does a lot on their Frontrunner train), I do like the looks and lines of the new cab cars.

I have been told that the new Bombardier cab car design is part of the fall out from the Northridge crash.
