April 12: Car crash onto tracks near Refugio Beach, hit by train
Author: GenePoon

Train service is shut down south of Refugio State Beach after a vehicle vs. train crash. The driver was reportedly going too fast and attempted to exit the freeway to take in the ocean view—only to end up on the tracks.

Images of damage to the vehicle and to the engine, the AMTK 353.  One of them will buff out.

Yesterday morning there was a car on the tracks in Ashland, VA.  Looks like the thought a sidewalk was a street and they did not fit on the rail crossing.  The Meteor was stopped just short of the site and lost about an hour.

Makes you scratch your head...

It appears the car driver was transporting a section of rail attached to the underside of his vehicle and probably didn't advise the law of it either!  🥺  Ah, I don't think sooo!!!
