Passenger Trains > A few from early MayDate: 05/08/25 14:37 A few from early May Author: Guitartrain 1. No stop here! Amtrak S/B train 79, the Carolinian (New York, NY to Charlotte, NC), with P42DC-114 on the point, is rolling through Ashland, VA on track 3 of CSX's RF&P Sub. 1:12PM on 5-2-25.
2. Much in need of a touch-up, Amtrak's Phase II, 40th Anniversary P42DC-130 is slowing for its Ashland, VA station stop. It's leading S/B Northeast Regional Train NR-141 (Springfield, MA to Norfolk, VA) on track three of CSX's RF&P Sub. 2:39PM on 5-2-25. 3. Amtrak N/B train 40, the Floridian (Tampa/Miami, FL to Chicago, IL) is on track 2 of CSX's RF&P Sub as it approaches downtown Ashland, VA in the middle of South Center Street. Example: Some call GG-1's an ugly loaf of bread. Plus modern North American crash worthiness standards make it very difficult to design a "stylish" locomotive. |
