Amtrak #6 w/ Operation Lifesaver unit

The eastbound California Zephyr with the Operation Lifesaver unit second in the consist drifts down hill through the east end of Ralston, Nebraska on June 25, 2025 at 9:15 AM.

Also visible, while mostly buried in the dirt, is an old industrial spur that used to make a steep incline to serve industries in the town proper, which is centered on a hill that is elevated well above the mainline.

3 full sleepers and 3 coaches., plus the dorm sleeper.  Nice to see the CZ will the extra space for summer traffic.
