Hyatt Place hotel in Emeryville, CA has an excellent view of the tracks near the Amtrak Station.  

Amtrak 715 followed by 547.  Both were delayed by a passenger issue on another train.

Great video! I stayed at that hotel last October and loved it not just for the view of the trains. It is within walking distance of many shops and restaurants. I spent a lot of time railfanning from the pedestrian bridge over the EMY platforms. It's great that you were able to get one of the San Joaquin sets with a Comet 1B in the consist. Very soon, the San Joaquins will convert from the California Bilevel plus one Comet 1B sets to entirely Siemens Venture cars. 

Oh how I wish I was still living in "The Bay Area"! LA sucks but is where I must stay.
