Passenger Trains > Coast Starlight cancellation on August 9?

I just got an email this morning that my trip on train 14 for Saturday, August 9 has been canceled. Anyone know what's going on?

Something like this I suppose to do with a MoW possession.

I fondly remember when this would be a rare milage detour.
Sometimes even via the Inland Gateway.
I have thoroughly enjoyed the two detours via Bakersfield to Sacramento that I got to take.
In both cases Amtrak got revenue they otherwise never would have had.

Heard radio discussions about a big work window happening right now, went to the transitdocs website and noted no Starlights on the map. Found this under service alerts and advisories, basically changing the northern california section from an overnight train ride to an overnight bus ride:

I remember when they just diverted up the Feather River Canyon and the Highline with a SP/UP/BN pilot. Something that was so common has become unhead of.
I suppose its easier to cancel the train than to find extra coaches to accommodate those that would love to ride the detour.

So common? How many times has that occured during the past 25 years and over 9,000 trains each way?
