Passenger Trains > Shooting on TRE train in Fort Worth Texas

Overheard summary from what was heard on the scanner in DFW:

"The TRE dispatcher called FWPD DC desk to advise they had a man with a firearm causing a disturbance on a train arriving at the Fort Worth intermodal station. Officers arrived and located a male victim with gunshot wound to the leg. He was transported to JPS in stable but potentially life-threatening condition. The actor, who had fired several rounds inside the train, was taken into custody per his request."

Unbelievable.
And in a nation awash in guns, not news.

Actually in Fort Worth, shooter was apprehended at FW Central Station.

WFAA reports that the shooter was a man in a wheelchair.  He got into an argument with another man regarding who would go to the restroom first.  The victim was taken to the hospital with possible life threatening injuries.  The shooter, the man in the wheelchair, said that he shot in self defense, and demanded to be taken to the hospital as well.  wfaa.com has the story.
