Passenger Trains > Train 58 Cancelled. No busses. Pax returned.

This cryptic Amtrak alert just popped up on Twitter. It doesn't tell where the disruption is or give any useful information. At least they apologized for the inconvenience.

Travel Update: Due to ongoing delays resulting from a municipal service hold on the tracks, Train 58 is canceled. Efforts to secure bus transportation were unsuccessful, and all onboard customers will be returned to their points of origin. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

CM M30271 05 derailed 13 cars near Swan Lake, MS (Yazoo Sub between Memphis, TN and Jackson, MS) about 1500 this afternoon. Subsequent fire & Hazmat involved. Evacuation of the city of Glendora, MS.

Second CN derailment in the last three weeks south of Memphis  Both disrupting Amtrak services.

Not really.  There used to be the Grenada District that was the historic I.C. passenger line, but that was spun off and may not even be in service its entire length.  It hasn't been a viable detour route since the mid-00's.
