Passenger Trains > 98. Finally made it to Savannah and moreDate: 07/06/25 18:56 98. Finally made it to Savannah and more Author: DocJohn if 301 is a bad locomotive, then 317 must be doing all the work. Slow orders and failures to get passengers on the train promptly seem to be the problem. CSX seems to have forgotten how to keep track in good alignment.

Yes, on-board train staff super. If there were any problems with motive power, they weren't noticeable. Air conditioning and HEP worked as they should As usual, engine change in Washington took far longer than necessary. Didn't leave until 9:13 a.m. Looks of track work needed to smooth out rough spots, John Date: 07/07/25 06:51 Re: 98. Finally made it to Savannah and more Author: Typhoon DocJohn Wrote:

I'm glad Amtrak agents are starting to enforce the rules regarding baggage to mitigate this damage. Date: 07/07/25 08:07 Re: 98. Finally made it to Savannah and more Author: Lackawanna484 Overweight packages were an issue in the UPS strike discussions. I believe the weight for a single driver assignment is now 70 pounds. Used to be 50 pounds. More than that, you need two people.
I don't think Amtrak has on train baggage clerks anymore. Date: 07/07/25 10:29 Re: 98. Finally made it to Savannah and more Author: PHall Lackawanna484 Wrote:
